about
Julia Götz completed her binational bachelor's degree in German-Italian Studies at the universities of Regensburg and Trieste in 2020. Her thesis examined the Talian variety in Brazil, with a particular focus on its linguistic comparison to the contemporary Venetian variety in Italy. In 2024, she obtained her master’s degree in Translation Studies with the languages Italian, English and French at the University of Heidelberg. The master's thesis also focused on a linguistic comparison of moralization practices in German and Italian plenary minutes. As a research assistant and doctoral candidate, she has been involved in the INF subproject since October 2024, primarily in corpus development and research on dimensions of Heimat, moralization and emotions in Romance and Germanic languages, and supports other text-based subprojects.
