Cosima Macco completed her Bachelor of Arts in Protestant Theology and German Studies in 2022 and then pursued a joint master’s program at the Universities of Heidelberg, Basel, and Strasbourg, as well as the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies, in the field of Interreligious Studies. Her master’s thesis dealt with the Kabbalistic concept of “Zimzum” in the works of Simone Weil and Hans Jonas. Since October 2024, she has been a research assistant in the SFB 1671 “Home(s): Phenomena, Practices, Representations” in subproject C03 “Spiritual and Heavenly Home/Heimat in the Performative Practices of Christian Denominational Cultures.” In this context, she is writing her dissertation in systematic theology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Friederike Nüssel.
