Dr. Hans-Christian Riechers studied Philosophy, German Language and Literature, and Religious Studies in Freiburg and Valencia (Spain). He went on to work as a researcher, instructor and editor at the universities of Bielefeld and Freiburg. From 2021 to 2024, he held a DFG research fellowship at Basel University (Switzerland). In 2024, he was an External Junior Fellow at Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS). Since October 2024, he is a doctoral researcher with CRC 1671 Home(s) in Heidelberg. He is part of subproject A07 Homelessness and Emancipation. Revisions of ‚Heimat‘ in modernity. His membership of Young Acadamy of Heidelberg Academy of Sciences also connects him to the city.
