Leonie Ott is a research assistant and doctoral canidate in subproject B03, The Taste of Home: Food and Surroundings in Bioregionalism and Rural South East Asia. B03 focuses on the relationship between food and the environment and examines how this generates new models of home. The connection between food, environment and a sense of belonging is being explored through a one-year research stay in Laos. The study will be carried out in a village in rural Laos that is undergoing significant change, such as landscape alteration, resettlement or the introduction of new cash crops.
